of the the business
that kind of all became real
because it was all just sort of paperwork
and lawyers and people talking
so really getting the keys and sort of walking in
and then putting our own stamp on things
was something that was
really really great
being proud to really say -
Well this is my store,
I'm the person that can help you,
if you need anything to do with optics,
optometry, contact lenses,
if you're having issues with anything
I'm the person that can help you
so really being proud of owning the store
and carrying it forward in the way that I see fit

or from the individual's point of view
that you're dealing with

I've been able to really take issues
like health and safety, staffing issues
contractual issues,
just knowing where I stand
and how best to approach a situation
that's something that's really
really helped me with the day-to-day operations
keeping things run smoothly
and actually helping consolidate and solidify my team
and keeping us all running in really ship shape
If you get bad advice, if you get bad feedback
take it as something to work on
don't take it as a negative
take it as something that you can really take to
move the the business forward and to the next step
